Hello all,

Just wondering if any of you where I could buy Duracoat locally in GTA?
I saw a company selling this on eBay, but he didn't even bother answering my S&H question.

Thanks very much.

Dan
Talk to the guys at Spetsnaz Army surplus in Ajax.
He uses Dura Coat for custom paint jobs.
If you are looking for epoxy primers etc, to paint a marker, let me know and I can hook you up.

Thanks, Gonzo.

Is the epoxy primer etc same as the Durocoat?  I read something about Duracoat that it's a 2-part paint, so I assume it's some kind of epoxy paint.  I work on epoxy and liquid plastic/silicone quite a bit, however, I haven't yet found one that's thin enough to be applied by airbrush like Durocoat.  That's why I would love to get a hold of some of these Durocoat stuff and give it a try.

I myself went on the hunt for Testers dullcoat and duracoat paints but ran short here in the gta, found in most modeling or hobby shops around the GTA knew what i was talking about but didn't have it or were sold out.during my journey to find the brand suggested owners of shops would ask what i was painting and offered tips.for example dullcoat is ok for varnish and at $7 a can they say is a bargin but if you buy the army painter-anti-shine matt varnish at $10 (which i got at battleground hobby) it will last way longer if you spray over Krylon camouflage paint with Fusion Technology(which Wal-mart and Canadian tire carry).Just look up Toronto hobby shops online and call a few and tell them what your painting (paintball or airsoft gun)and you need a dull mat spray on varnish that will last, two light coats should do it and spray like a foot and half away to mist not over coat-hope that helps  Grin

I just got an order of Dura Coat from a supplier in WI.

Shipping was fast, but make sure you have a broker for customs as UPS is kind of expensive to get the package
cleared.

As mentioned, just go with Krylon.
It is a lot easier to obtain here in the GTA and is half the cost. From past experience using it, it works and holds up extremely well.
